Dear Valued Customer:
THANK YOU for your continued patronage and for recommending HART ALARM SYSTEMS to your family, friends and neighbors whenever the subject of security is brought up. Basically, there are two sources of new clients and customers; people who know us and those whom we are yet to meet. A referral from a satisfied customer is a big first step. Such referrals have fueled our continued growth.
The most common misconception about alarm systems is that there have to be a lot of wiring showing if the home has not been prewired during construction. Another is that it is messy and disruptive. Our installers are experienced at concealing everything but a surface mounted contact. We continue to hear new subscribers comment that "if we had known how neatly and quickly the work was done, we would have had the system installed long ago". If you know anyone hesitating out of such concerns, have them call the office to have Ken or Steve come out for a security survey and explain how the job would be done.
We have been asked by a number of our subscribers to set up a system to bill via the Internet. In order to do so we must have your e-mail address. So if you are interested, please write your preferred e-mail address on the face of your invoice return stub before you return it to us with your payment.
I have previously mentioned our web site WWW.HARTALARM.COM. The description of "Whole house structured wiring" points out we retrofit existing buildings as well as new construction with the wiring. With the proliferation of computers, telephones, fax machines, etc. there is a need for wiring to accommodate them in the home and workplace.
As I get older, I am convinced that time does fly by. Here it is September already and the summer season is about over. Technically, Labor Day is not the end of summer since there are still 3 weeks until Fall officially begins. However, we all know it does signal the unofficial end and it is time to plan on closing the pool and putting away the outdoor furniture. Our mindset tells us that any nice day from now on out is just a case of "Indian Summer". It seems like yesterday I was advising you to test your alarm system before you leave for vacation. Next month, October, is Fire Prevention Month and I will have our annual suggestions on how to get ready in the event of a fire.
Now would be a good time to consider upgrading your alarm system to include fire detection devices if you didnt have them installed initially. This is especially important if you use wood burning devices to supplement your heating system. And, remember that as good as some 110v smoke detectors are, they do not work when the power fails. Our system detectors simply switch over automatically to the back-up rechargeable battery. Ken or Steve can answer any of your questions about upgrading costs.
For some time now, we have been asking you to call us if you are considering doing away with your "hard wired" telephone service and converting to a pure "wireless" or Internet provider. There may be additional items of hardware required so that we can continue to monitor your alarm system. So please contact us before you make arrangements to change the old service.
